What is the difference between dry and wet weather outfall inspections?

Dry Weather Inspections provide the option to indicate the sample as Illicit Discharge, while Wet Weather Inspections do not.

Dry Weather Inspections are typically an MS4 permit requirement under the Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination program. This inspection form is designed for field staff to perform and record dry weather inspections, and report whether an outfall requires maintenance.

If the user marks that flow is present, users are able to record about field measurements and sample IDs.

Users can also indicate whether the flow is Illicit Discharge under the Sample tab.

The Wet Weather Inspection form is designed for field staff to perform and record wet weather inspections and sampling. Tabs for Field Measurements and Samples will only appear if Yes is selected under Flow Present.
